Welcome to LeedsArchery.co.uk

Hello and welcome to the website for the University of Leeds Archery Club. Here at the club we have a warm and friendly atmosphere in which you can shoot, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced archer. The majority of our members shoot recurve (Olympic style) bows, but we can cater for longbow, barebow and compound archers, however for the latter three we are not able to provide equipment. Although we are classed as an outdoor sport, we do actually shoot indoors for most of the year, moving outside in the summer.

We have a coach who comes to every session providing help for anyone regardless of standard. There are also several members of the club who have coaching qualifications so you’ll never be short of help. We hold regular socials throughout the year.

We also regularly compete in competitions, travelling to different universities and sometimes hosting the competitions ourselves. At the start of the year is the Novice Championships. Exclusively for Novice archers it’s a great way to gain experience in competitions. Towards the end of the year is BUCS outdoor championships (British University and Colleges Sports). The highlight of the year for many archers we travel to Lilleshall (the Olympic training site) for a whole weekend of shooting.
